A Fractional CMO Who Doesn’t Just Market. We Sell.
A fractional CMO gives you a senior marketing executive without the full-time salary. At DMN8 Partners, Gary Geiman leads your marketing and our team does the work. In one engagement a plumbing company grew from $750,000 to $1,605,000 in twelve months — without spending another dollar on marketing, because the revenue was already sitting in their database and their unclosed proposals.
What a Fractional CMO Actually Does
A fractional CMO is a marketing executive who runs your marketing part time. You get the experience of someone who has done it before, at a fraction of what it costs to hire that person full time. The difference between a good fractional CMO and an expensive mistake comes down to one question: do they run your marketing, or tell you how to run it? We run it.
vs. a Marketing Agency
An agency runs campaigns. A fractional CMO runs marketing. Most agencies need someone on your side to tell them what to do — usually you, or a marketing manager you still pay. The agency does the tasks; nobody owns the number. Gary owns the number.
vs. a Consultant or Coach
A consultant hands you a plan. A coach helps you build the skill to make your own. Both can be worth the money, and neither does the work. If you already have a team that just needs direction, coaching may be right. If you need the work done, it is not.
vs. Hiring a Full-Time CMO
A full-time CMO costs a salary, benefits, and payroll taxes — then needs a team, because a CMO does not build your website, write your emails, or manage your ad accounts. The average base CMO salary in the U.S. is $225,908; three marketing people in Ohio average $55,644 each.
| Chief Marketing Officer, base salary | $225,908 |
| 3 marketing team members | $166,932 |
| Total | $392,840 |
That is base pay only — no payroll taxes, benefits, software, recruiting fees, or the 3–6 months to hire and ramp. A fractional CMO comes with the team already attached, for $90,000 a year.
| Agency | Consultant | Full-time CMO | DMN8 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | Campaigns | A plan / skill | Leadership | Leadership + execution |
| Who does the work | Agency | You | A team you hire | Gary directs, we execute |
| Who owns the systems | Usually agency | You | You | You |
| Works the sales side | No | As advice | No | Yes — calls, texts, coaching |
| On site | Rarely | Occasionally | Full time | 3–4 days / quarter |
| Cost | Retainer + manager | Project fee | $392,840/yr+ | $90,000/yr |
| Time to impact | Slow on strategy | Depends on you | 3–6 mo to ramp | Week one |
We Do Not Just Market. We Sell.
Marketing finds the opportunity. Sales closes it. Most fractional CMOs only work the first half, hand you more leads, and leave the closing to a team nobody has trained in years. We work both sides.
Revenue You Already Have
Before we spend a dollar on new advertising, we look for revenue already sitting in your business. Your customer database — people who bought once and have not heard from you since — is the cheapest revenue in the building. Proposals that never closed — quotes that went quiet, where many buyers did not say no, they said not yet. Our in-house team makes the calls, sends the emails and texts to work both lists. It is why two of the three results below happened with no increase in marketing spend.
Sales Coaching for Your Reps
More leads will not fix a team that cannot close. We use AI tools to record sales conversations and presentations, then review them with your reps and coach against real calls — ongoing, not a one-day training. That is where the 14% conversion increase in the plumbing engagement came from. Same leads, better selling.
Automation That Runs Without You
The third thing we do that most fractional CMOs do not: we build systems that keep producing after we stop touching them. Not software we resell — automation built for your business, that you own when the engagement ends.
Recurring Revenue From a Membership Program
Most home service companies sell one job at a time. A membership program turns some of those one-time customers into monthly recurring revenue. We build it end to end — offer, signup, billing, onboarding, renewals, failed-card follow-up. The plumbing company below reached $15,160 a month in recurring revenue six months after launch, with minimal human involvement.
Automation That Finds and Fixes Lost Clicks
Every website has pages that rank well and get ignored. We built automation that watches Google Search Console for high-impression, low-click pages, works out the fix, and prepares it — no human involvement up to that point. One company saw a 22% increase in organic traffic in 60 days from this one automation, from rankings they already had.
A Human Approves Before Anything Publishes
Every automation stops before it changes anything on your site. The work happens automatically; the decision does not. Someone reviews and approves before it goes live.
Meet Gary Geiman

Gary Geiman has spent 30 years in sales and marketing — eighteen years business-to-consumer, twelve business-to-business — every one of them carrying a sales number, not just a marketing budget. He is the founder and CEO of DMN8 Partners in Covington, Kentucky, across the river from downtown Cincinnati.
30 Years in Sales and Marketing
He served as National Sales Manager for a national consulting firm before starting his own companies. Since 2017 he and his team have helped more than 200 service businesses grow, and DMN8 Partners has managed more than $5 million in Google Ads spend.
Five Companies Owned and Operated
Gary has founded or owned five companies: financial services, three in home services, and the agency he runs today. From 2013 to mid-2018 he grew an exterior cleaning business from $0 to over $1,000,000, using the same systems he now builds for clients. Most fractional CMOs have run a marketing department; Gary has signed the front of the check in the same kind of business you own.
Author of Dominate Your Market in 90 Days
Gary wrote Dominate Your Market in 90 Days (January 2020), a 90-day plan for home service owners tired of random marketing. He has spoken to thousands of owners at conferences and appeared on more than 40 podcasts.
Real Outcomes From Fractional CMO Engagements
Three years, three documented engagements. Client names are confidential, so each is described by industry.
Plumbing, 12 months, no added marketing spend
Landscape & lighting growth in 20 months, then a 5.2X exit
Residential flooring, by month 9, no added spend
Plumbing: $750,000 → $1,605,000 in 12 Months
A plumbing company doing $750,000 a year with too few leads becoming jobs. We built a defined sales-and-marketing process with follow-up that did not depend on who answered the phone, plus a membership program end to end. Conversion up 14%. Revenue up 114% to $1,605,000, no increase in marketing spend. The membership program reached $15,160/month in recurring revenue six months after launch.
Landscape & Lighting: 221% Growth, 5.2X Exit
A founder-run company with no leadership layer. We built and coached a leadership team so the founder was no longer the bottleneck, plus systems the team could run without him. Revenue grew 221% over twenty months; the founder sold at 5.2 times net profit. (5.2X is the sale multiple, not the growth — the growth was 221%.)
Residential Flooring: Lead Flow Doubled by Month 9
A flooring company needing twice the lead flow without doubling the ad budget. We made the Google Ads spend work harder (cost per lead down 28%, conversion up from 8% to 14%), moved the savings into retargeting (paid-visitor conversion reached 17%), and trained the team on referral messaging and follow-up. Monthly lead flow doubled by month nine, no increase in total spend.
Two of the three grew without spending more on marketing. A realistic target is 2X to 3X revenue in 12 to 20 months — your starting point decides where you land.

The First 90 Days
Days 1–30 · Audit & First Revenue
We baseline lead sources, cost per lead, and conversion at every step — then start the work that pays first: segmenting your database and open proposals, converting existing website traffic, installing visitor-ID technology, and going after local SEO that drives calls.
Days 31–60 · Build
Automation, follow-up systems, tracking, and dashboards get built. Sales call recording goes live and rep coaching starts. The strategy becomes something your people can run.
Days 61–90 · Launch & Measure
Everything goes live and the dashboards start reporting. From here the work is reading the numbers and adjusting.
